New projects: a black-and-white Berlin-nightlife short about male friendship prepping for festival submission. A dialogue-free 3D-animated thesis short about the meaning of “home,” centered on a jellyfish. A stalker-revenge thriller. And a finished 15-minute short about male war refugees, now needing post-production help.

Screened: a 100-minute mockumentary using actors playing fabricated celebrities built from real people the director actually met, funded through a crowdfunding campaign. A solo-made 117-minute feature, four years total, including a full year just on color grading. And a composer walked us through scoring an animated short from scratch after receiving it completely silent.

Four years. That’s a lot of Sundays.
