Meetup #170

Berlinale just wrapped and the room was buzzing. We ran a special 2-minute rapid pitch format and honestly, we still ran long. Some highlights, and there were a lot:

A climate-change short hunting for a lab location. A feature about four flatmates fighting eviction after a house party goes wrong. A Ukrainian director/DOP making political documentaries on Russian/Ukrainian propaganda, open to co-traveling to Ukraine for the next one. A chess-boxing feature going into production, crew call in two weeks. A 15-minute comedy that personifies ketchup, mayo, and mustard, screening soon at a local cinema (we are not kidding). A Sergio-Leone-style funding trailer shooting mid-March. Plus two music documentaries, one about Ukrainian frontline musicians, and a grief/animation project about a mother’s death that quieted the room.
